How to find us

The Sillberghaus belongs to the small village Bayrischzell and is in the middle of the Bavarian alps. It is located approx. 75 km in the south of Munich at an altitude of 1.100m above sea level. Coming from Bayrischzell towards Landl you will find the Sillberghaus parking lot at the Tiroler street after approx. 3km. From there it will take you only about 25 minutes to the uniquelly located Sillberghaus. The slightly remote alp area already fascinated in the 1930s and was treasured by hikers, tourists and ‘Lebenskuenstler’.

Directions to the Sillberghaus

 

Path Sillberghaus – parking lot Sillberghaus: steep path, sturdy shoes necessary, approx. 20-35 min.

Path Sillberghaus – parking lot Waterfall: in the beginning steep path, than flat, sturdy shoes necessary, approx. 60-75min.

How to get there:

By car:

From Munich take the highway A8 towards Salzburg, exit at Weyarn, then pass Miesbach and Schliersee until you reach Bayrischzell. In Bayrischzell stay on the main street and turn right at the “Sport Alm” toward Landl, Thiersee  and Kufstein. After approx. 3 km there is a bus stop on the right side and the Sillberghaus parking lot (signposted).

Please park there. Now you are only about 30 minutes and 200 altitude meters away from the valley of origin, away from the Sillberghaus. Seasonable mountain equipment, sturdy shoes and eventually a flashlight are highly recommended.

A transfer for baggage and guests, who are not well on their feet, is possible (according to prior agreement and to weather conditions).
